Is A Minky Party For You?

Answer these 6 last qualifying questions to find out for sure:

  1. Do you wonder why you can't lose weight or plateau in your weight loss everytime you diet and exercise?
  2. Why do you eat foods you don’t like and do exercises that hurt/don’t help you and expect to be successful long term in previous/current weight loss efforts?
  3. If you are pear-shaped…why are you still doing step aerobics, squats, and lunges to trim down your thighs?
  4. If Type 2 Diabetes is a disease of insulin insensitivity; then why are you told to eat 6 mini-meals a day, making insulin everytime you eat?  You already know that insulin is a fat-storing hormone.
  5. Do you know someone that has been going to the gym for 2 months or longer, and they look exactly the same?  Or worse, even bulkier? Is that person you?
  6. If you could reduce your natural shape and look trimmer, less bulk, would you still care how much you weighed?

One more final point about who we feel we serve best.  Deb and I both work in healthcare, as educators. Over 50 years combined.  I am black.  She is white.  I’m a Registered Nurse. She is a Registered Dietitian. I am not politically correct.  I can't speak for Deb. However, we both are proud unhyphenated Americans who are tired of being healthcare whores.

Whore:
(noun) - A person who willingly uses his or her talent or ability in a low, self-serving and unworthy way, usually for money/gifts.
(verb) - To put to any base or unworthy use:  to prostitute one's talents.
Healthcare whore: A person who works in healthcare who willingly uses his or her talent or ability in a low, self-serving and unworthy way, usually for money/gifts/favors to promote the sickcare status quo.
Example - A 'healthcare' professional group that will promote an old, clearly wrong health agenda or one-sided, money-making or self-serving view of an organization, at the health expense of those they serve; because that organization paid for the luncheon/event.

These views of how to eat and exercise are my opinion only and are my truths.  Based on the research and years experience I have; this is my conclusion.  No attempt will be made to shove this down your throat.  It either makes sense to you and you want to learn more or it doesn't and you move on.  We can agree to disagree.  Please see a physician and/or qualified healthcare provider, one with an open mind, (preferably holistic) before beginning this or any other nutrition or exercise program.

So, after qualifying in our P.I.P., we want to target women over 35, who are pre-diabetic, and women who are not afraid to try the one thing that they need to do to 'release fat' on their bodies.  If you are female but are not over 35, YET you otherwise fit into our P.I.P., you can still join if you want to.  But understand that’s the premise we come from.  Our (Comic Relief Topics) humor and solutions to your questions/concerns for ‘curving down’ will be geared toward women who live the stresses like me and Deb.  (examples: For us it's working in healthcare:  shift work, lack of sleep, dehydration, sick/dangerous environment, ‘fix-me mentality’ of others, getting in meals, getting to the bathroom, no respect, only a few good men, etc.)
