We are a profiled group of women over 35 who come together to laugh, have fun, share our 'change' experiences and be ‘in-the-learn’ about our ever-changing bodies in order to STOP GAINING WEIGHT, STOP losing our hair, and STOP feeling bitchy!

Some more detailed philosophies of living The Minky Way:
We know that no matter what you eat; if you eat while in a stressed-state, your digestion is impaired.
We know that eating saturated fat does not make you fat. Saturated fat does not equal trans fat!
- We know that being sedentary, eating hydrogenated fats, too many polyunsaturated vegetable oils, too many calories, and too many sugars & carbs, make you fat (and sick).
'Pleasure is good' is our Mantra. We want to reduce our shapes; yet improve our curves forever.
We eat full-fat macronutrient meals. The Sacred Foods Diet.
We understand the importance of nutrient activators, fat-soluble vitamins A & D.
We cook & eat like our grandmothers & great grandmothers used to.
We also want to bring our health-related numbers down (blood sugar levels, Lp(a) & triglyceride levels, and blood pressure) to improve our quality of life, and enjoy those we love, longer. But get our HDL (healthy cholesterol) high! This greatly improves our chances of increased independence.
We agree on exercising at least 20 minutes 3X a week or 10 minutes 6X a week for fat burn and that incredible after-burn! (1 hour a week minimum) (Unless it stresses us out) On the HOT Minky Plan we start with 3 minutes daily. Never on Mondays!
Eating traditional, nutrient-dense foods and cooking for ourselves and loved ones.
When we eat grains & oats, we soak our oats for increased nutrition. Easy to do. Learn to 'soak your oats'.
We are not fooled into thinking an avocado (former pear with middle-aged spread) can become a string bean (without surgery).
Clothes will fit looser, bodies will be tighter and a new level of body acceptance will be discovered!
We are politically Incorrect in our food & exercise choices; but we get results every couple of weeks; NOT feel/therefore look the same after 3 months! We take charge of our health and don't care what others think. Do you really think government agencies, organizations with diseases in their title and pharmaceutical companies really care about you? They care about your money. Period.
